This is a package of repaints made while progressing my personal FS project of populating the sim - >FS9< (!) - with aircraft operating on 52-week flightplans. I don't intend repeating this for any other airports, in case you wonder!

When I got to Austria on my little quest, I saw many operators that are short on repaints and made a few that are based at Salzburg, a favorite airport of mine in the sim and in the real world. Then realized that they operated smaller aircraft as well, and then realized that there are also several flying clubs that were worth including because Charly Morten had created a few repaints for some of the fleets. If you're already painting a few tiddlers, there is no real strain to paint just a few more.

So the lighter end of the project was largely bootstrapped by Charly's head start.

The fleets involved are...

Flugring Salzburg
Luftsportverband Salzburg
Airlink Salzburg
Salzburg Jet Aviation
Osterreichischer Sportfliegerclub Salzburg
The Flying Bulls (bizjet fleet)
The Flying Bulls 2x historic aircraft fleet that uses other people's repaints

To install all of these you will need some esoteric freeware AI models as well as some payware.

The aircaft included here use these models

Mike Cronin Seneca
Mike Cronin Aeronca (it pretends to be an early Citabria - they are related)
AIG PC-12
Andras Neuman Diamond Katana (boots)
Andras Neuman Cherokee Arrow III (conventional tail)
Andras Neuman Cherokee Turbo Arrow IV (T-tail)
DFAI Citationjet CJ1 (payware)
DFAI Citationjet CJ1 winglets (payware)
FranceVFR Socata TB-9 (payware - imitating a TB-10)
Henry Tomkiewicz Cessna 150-152 (payware)
Henry Tomkiewicz Cessna 172 (payware)
Henry Tomkiewicz Cessna C208 Caravan I (payware)
Henry Tomkiewicz Cessna 170 (payware)
Henry Tomkiewicz Cessna 170B (payware)
Henry Tomkiewicz Cessna 182 (payware)
John Young (JYAI) Beechcraft King Air 350i
The Microsoft default Mooney Bravo (to use a very rough repaint for OE-KOG)
Pavel Toman Diamond HK36TTC
Pavel Toman Piper Cub
Richard Faith Falcon 900 (WA - winglets/antenna model)
Richard Faith Piper Tomahawk
Tibor Kokai (AI Hungary) Schiebe Falke
Tibor Kokai (AI Hungary) Cirrus SR-22

please take note that there are other aircraft in some of the featured fleets that are already painted by other people, such as Charly Morten. I just painted gaps in the fleets, in some cases this was most of the fleet. Those extra paints will need to be found on Charly's One Click Hangar website - which is hopefully where you found this archive anyway!

The John Young material should be located on MAIWs website, and the DC-6 of Red Bull is (I think) on Avsim as a Michael Pearson package. Any GA gaps will most likely be available here on One-Click Hangar.

If you end up liking the look of Salzburg with some real locals flying around, feel free (nobody will stop you) to dig out a few paintkits and get some repaints made for your own personal favorite airfield. Go on, you KNOW you want to! :)

The sim AI world needs more Ross Bremners and Billy Rutherfords to step forward and revitalize the sim in these small ways.

As an extra bonus (!) there are some repaints just thrown in here for convenience's sake.

There is a Cessna 170B - OE-DAD that is based at Innsbruck (LOWI), as well as a Piper Tomahawk, OE-CHK based at Zell am See (LOWZ).

There are also other bizjets, one of them not even European!

Some of these are stuffed into a folder called "Random Others", where you will find...

DFAI Phenom 300 Luxwing 9H-MAG (payware model)
HTAI King Air 200 Vistajet 9H-PARTS
HTAI King Air 200 Luxwing 9H-XPA
HTAI Beechjet 400A Time Air OK-DJB
HTAI Gulfstream G550 Falcon Aviation Services A6-YMA

The rest are CJ1s included in the Salzburg CJ1 livery folder
DFAI Citationjet CJ1 Aerodynamics Malaga EC-JIU (payware)
DFAI Citationjet CJ1 Luxaviation OO-JID (payware)
DFAI Citationjet CJ1 MyCitation GmbH T7-FMS (payware)
DFAI Citationjet CJ1 Breed Aircraft Ltd G-CJDB (payware)

all with suspiciously similar liveries...

why this peculiarly random set of other aircraft? 52-week plans, of course! These visited Salzburg when I was doing this little project, and rather than look at blank "placeholder" liveries, I thought I'd put a dab of paint on some other models.

I also painted up the Oman Royal Flight 747-800 that you will find here on One-Click Hangar, with 52-week plans, of course.

Finally, I have also dropped in my AFD for Salzburg that will allow these AI to be accommodated. There is also an alternative AFD that gets AI to fly the curving approach to runway 33, but the results of this are very variable, depending largely on the aircraft's flight dynamics settings. A B737-800 will usually fly it well, but an A319 often won't.

Please note that slow-climbing AI heading south-south-west after departure from Salzburg may fly into a particularly close mountain. It might be useful to change a CFG parameter to increase the climb rate if this is a problem for you. There is a list of parameters you can change featured on

Good luck with all this stuff.

Cheers

RF/MM

Installation - repaints are bundled per model, so there is one installation for C172, one installation for Citation CJ1, etc. It's better than finding all the CJ1s across a variety of operator folders.
